Who is Dr. Hatice Semrin Timlioğlu Iper?
Born in Ankara in 1961, Dr. Hatice Semrin Timlioğlu Iper completed her primary and secondary education both in Turkey and abroad. She started at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1977 and graduated as a general practitioner in 1983. In 1990, she received the title of Ophthalmologist from the same university.
Following her specialization training, she conducted advanced studies in Cornea and Refractive Surgery in the USA and Venezuela. She gained experience in ophthalmology across many countries worldwide. Since 2000, she has worked in Istanbul as an ophthalmologist at established healthcare institutions such as:
- Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital,
- Göztepe Training and Research Hospital,
- Numune Hospital.
Furthermore, she held administrative positions such as Deputy Chief Physician at Göztepe Training and Research Hospital and Quality Coordinator at Numune Hospital.
Dr. Timlioğlu Iper transitioned to Okan University as an academician in 2017 and began the Ph.D. program in Vision, Low Vision Rehabilitation, and Artificial Vision at Ankara University in 2019, successfully completing it in 2023.
